Hi! I’m Alex Maltsev.

I’m an author, digital creator, and proud father.

Born in the USSR, I spent 25 years living and working in China and now reside in Thailand.

My background is in digital projects and online businesses. I started as a full-stack developer, then moved into digital marketing and business development.

I was the editor-in-chief of Magazeta, a Russian media project about China. I’ve worked in marketing and business development at Alibaba and Aviasales, and today I run my own company.

I help international companies enter and grow in the Chinese online market — from web development and localization to marketing and promotion. My clients include Wildberries, Yandex, Aeroflot, Rosatom, Sberbank, and Sotheby’s.

I’m also the author of “50 Lessons on Capoeira, Teaching, and Life” — a book about discipline, learning, habits, and the lessons we carry from practice into everyday life.
